Farmers are dependent on external resource persons for getting various information’s. Their main source of information is mainly coming from Krishi sewa kendra ( Shop keepers ). In promotion of organic farming, use of organic inputs has assumed greater importance. Contrary to conventional farming where synthetic inputs are used to feed and protect the crop by direct action, in organic farming, inputs are used to feed the soil and to create an environment which can collectively keep the pests below damage grade. In the recent years, efforts have been made to promote appropriate production methodologies among farmers for effective conversion of organic waste into nutrient rich compost and for preparing botanical extracts for pest management.

The idea of Field resource center (FRC) is to provide a common platform to farmers to come together and discuss on different issues of agriculture. Different study materials, posters, newspapers, CDs, and other informative material is kept in FRC to get information on sustainable agricultural practices. The idea FRC is to demonstrate best of Sustainable agriculture techniques i.e. Bistara Khad, Jivamruth, CPP, Five leaf extract ,Nimboli ark, Soybean tonic etc. under one roof at one place. A portion of FRC can also be used for training , nursery development seed bank activity etc.

The idea of Field resource center (FRC) has clicked in many villages. By intelligently using the resources available in the village, lakhs of rupees has been saved by making organic manures, growth promoters, pest and disease controllers at village level .
