Eating habits have changed now, due to which malnutrition related diseases have started appearing. Apart from this grains, fruits, vegetables etc. produced by the use of these toxic chemicals have become extremely harmful to human health. Farmers are most affected by these toxic chemicals because they are in direct contact with it and also they consume poisonous grains.

Challenges

  • It has come out from many researches that due to these toxic chemicals, many serious problems like cancer, abortion, sterility, congenital deformity, dizziness etc. arise. Today it is ironic that the rural and urban people of our country spend a huge amount in hospitals when they fall ill.

  • Cancer train going from Bathinda to Bikaner has many cancer patients,
  • In many export crops like chillies, okra, grapes etc. detection of pesticides in exceeding limit is a serious matter of concern.
  • Malnutrition is a big problem in rural as well as in urban areas.

What we do

  • Abhinav AHRDO has been motivating farmers to grow crops organically for their family’s health security.

  • Abhinav is also promoting concept of Kitchen garden in rural and urban masses to make them aware about food and nutrition.

  • Conducting many trainings / campaigns like organic farming for own consumption (Khud ke liye kheti ) and adopt family farmer are going on for farmers and consumers.

  • Making urban public aware about the ill effects of chemicals in food through meetings, leaflets, training, film shows, webinars etc

  • Organising Jaivik Bhoj at farmer’s field

  • Organizing exposure visit for school students to make them aware about the importance of organic farming.

  • Linking many organic farmers directly with the consumers.

Out Come

Through training, lakhs of consumers of village and city have been made aware about the importance of organic food, today many consumers are adopting it.
